The fairs might be over but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this tasty delight at home! Check out this recipe for Fried Cheese Curds
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 to 3 eggs, beaten
2 2/3 tablespoons of Stoltzfus Creamline milk
5 ounces of your favorite flavored Stoltzfus cheese curds
1 1/3 cups of oil for frying
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the eggs and milk. Mix until smooth. Add more milk for a thinner batter. Coat your favorite Stoltzfus Cheddar cheese curds with the batter.
Heat the oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Fry the coated cheese curds approximately 1 minute each, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
