All of our milk comes strictly from our two family farms and we make sure that the milk coming in is as fresh as possible. From our family farm to your family table, this fresh high-quality milk comes into our creamery by our own trucks. When we typically bottle on Tuesday morning, that milk was in the cow Monday morning, so it’s very fresh.
We do not not homogenize at Stoltzfus Family Dairy. Homogenization is high-pressure process of breaking up fat in cream to such a small size they dissolve into the rest of the milk; a process that makes so that when your body intakes the homogenized milk, it cannot seperate the fat from the rest of the milk. Studies have shown that non-homogenized milk can aid the body in better digestion and proper utilization of the proteins found in milk, resulting in healthier and more flavorful milk. Bypassing this process gives you the proverbial “cream line” at the top of each bottle.
We do minimum pasteurization here at Stoltzfus Family Dairy. Most companies ultra-pasteurize which is burning off all of the good enzymes in the milk. We do not homogenize or ultra-pasteurize here at Stoltzfus Family Dairy. We serve you whole milk, non homogenized so that when your body drinks this milk in its natural state, your body can seperate the fat from that milk, burn the fat off, and get the energy it needs and also the natural sugars in that milk that benefit you.
